Hydraulic Power Loop — Pump to Actuator

An incompressible fluid transmits force through the loop. The pump makes pressure, the reservoir supplies it, the accumulator smooths demand, the selector valve meters it and the actuator converts it to movement. Contamination control is what keeps the loop alive.

Inject a fault

Operate any outlined unit. A tripped breaker or an open valve is deliberate isolation, not a defect — only the injected faults are defects.

Reference notes

A hydraulic system uses a pump to create pressure, fluid to transmit force, valves to control flow, accumulators to store energy and actuators to produce movement. Filters, seals, correct fluid and contamination control are essential.

Landing gear maintenance includes struts, torque links, uplocks, downlocks, actuators, doors, proximity sensors, wheels, tires, brakes and emergency-extension provisions. Verify pressure, travel, locking and leakage against approved limits.

Never mix incompatible hydraulic fluids. Isolate pressure, use the specified servicing equipment and account for stored energy before disconnecting a line.
