Reference notes
Maintenance must be performed by appropriately authorized people using current approved or acceptable data. Regulations define privileges, limitations, inspection requirements, records and return-to-service responsibilities.
Airworthiness depends on current inspections, complied airworthiness directives, approved repairs and alterations, life-limited records and complete maintenance entries. A clean aircraft is not automatically airworthy.
Use the current authority and aircraft publications for real work. AMT-SIM notes prepare students for study; they do not replace regulations, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams or approved data.
