Reference notes

Aircraft hardware is selected for strength, vibration resistance, corrosion resistance and traceability. Bolts and nuts clamp parts, washers spread load, rivets form permanent joints, and approved locknuts, cotter pins or safety wire resist rotation.

O-rings and gaskets seal fluid and pressure boundaries. Adel clamps support wires and hoses. Dzus fasteners secure removable access panels. Do not substitute automotive or hardware-store parts without approved data.

Inspect threads, heads, holes, grip length, locking feature and installation direction. Torque and secure the assembly according to the applicable maintenance data.
